Cabernet Franc (CAB-er-nay FRONK) is a medium bodied red wine very important in the top Bordeaux blends, being more than de 50% of an outanding wine called Château Cheval Blanc. It is a useful grape in many blends because equilibrates both, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. This variety originated Cabernet Sauvignon.
